PRISMA is the department's student magazine, bringing together writing, artwork, and ideas from students across every year into a single annual publication. Each edition is planned, written, and designed almost entirely by students, offering a space to explore topics well beyond the technical curriculum — personal essays, campus experiences, creative writing, illustrations, and photography all find a place in its pages. Over the years it has grown into something the department genuinely looks forward to each year, a shared keepsake that captures a slice of student life outside the classroom.

The department is home to a student chapter affiliated with the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, giving students a space to explore ideas and activities beyond the regular coursework. The chapter is run largely by students themselves, who organize their own sessions, discussions, and small collaborative projects through the year while staying connected to the wider IEEE CIS community for guidance and opportunities. It also acts as an easy entry point for anyone looking to get more involved in technical or organizational work alongside their studies, regardless of which year they are in.
